MCSE IIS 4 Ace It! Specifications
Readers will get heavy-duty exam prep in MCSE Ace It! IIS 4, a preparation powerhouse for MCSE exam 70-087. The book follows the premise that the key to success is figuring out the mindset of the test writers and measuring which topics to focus on. This approach may be an irritant to a student trying to really master the product but provide comfort to students on unsteady ground.
The book follows the major topical divisions of the Microsoft exam, with each forming a complete learning experience. Each section begins with a very brief quiz entitled "Are You Prepared?" that is designed to save you the time of reviewing the chapter if you know the material already. Realistically, these preparatory quizzes are too terse to serve their purpose. Elements punctuate the text with "Test Traps," "Know This," and "Pop Quiz" notes, which are rather helpful and often lend perspective to the material.
The review test is a bit short, and instead of including tons of questions, the space is used to explain strategies for comprehending and tackling each question. The test is followed by a few exercises to perform on your own. The book also includes a tear-out cheat sheet for a last-minute cram on the way to the test. If you need intense test coaching, this guide might be your best choice. --Stephen W. Plain
